The selected cut · Claude v5
Sasha and
the lamp.
A lamp that turns away when you open your work chat at night. A playful idea meets an AI that already wants to launch a business.
Made with Claude Code in Google Vids. In this cut, the lamp turns away beside Sasha; the captions are cleaner, and the final turn happens without a hand moving it.

Available on main; the v0.4.0 ZIP files are unchanged. The checker assesses the plan; video quality needs its own review. It does not generate media or launch agents automatically.
A small idea gets ahead of itself.
Twelve scenes carry the story from a playful invention to an over-eager business plan. Version 5 refines the lamp’s movement and the subtitle cuts.
A lamp with an opinion
The lamp turns away while Sasha stays in the shot. His glance makes the response visible.
A plan nobody asked for
The chat fills with an audience, a subscription and a Friday launch. The little idea grows a business around itself.
Dreaming or starting?
The question lands. Sasha shows the plan to the lamp, and it turns away again.
From a brief to an editable film.
Vids Studio combines a creative skill, a local MCP connector and a Chrome extension. Connect a Vids document, describe the change, and let Codex or Claude Code work inside that tab.
This demo is the Claude Code cut selected by the creator. The editable project remains in Vids; the public MP4 omits the redundant soft-caption track.
Installation and how it worksWhat this demo proves.
The MP4 decodes without errors. All video and audio packets match the native Google Vids export; only the extra subtitle track was removed. English captions are an optional web-player translation.
This film demonstrates a creative result. Acceptance of the complete automated export workflow remains pending; the earlier download-watcher incident belongs to the previous Codex cut.

Imagine I came up with a lamp that turns away when I open my work chat at night. You’re like, “I’ll just take a quick peek.” But it’s already facing the wall. Fun, right?
I throw the idea at an AI. It immediately goes: “Great! Audience, price, subscription. We launch on Friday.” Hold on. All I’ve invented so far is a sulking lamp. Where did Friday come from? I haven’t even decided whether it needs an “okay, five more minutes” button. And we already have a lighting subscription.
I say, “Let’s just imagine how it turns for now.” The reply: “Of course. Let’s start with a technical specification.” One question would have been enough: are we dreaming, or are we getting started?
Okay, I’m showing the lamp our plan. There. It turned away again.
